While I wish there was more to say about myself and the reasons I started this blog, I must admit…I’m just a regular girl who decided to start sharing my thoughts with other regular people. It’s a first-person account of my experiences with fitness and nutrition, body image, trauma and growth, and motherhood. I am not a fitness trainer, nutrition guru, licensed psychologist, or a perfect parent. I don’t sell any products. I am not involved in any pyramid schemes. I’m just a person in my 30’s who has already tried and failed in many areas of my life, and finally decided to write down my journey to make sense of my mind, my body, and my world.
This blog is my exploration of difficult relationships. The ones we have with our own body and mental health, the ones we have with others, and the ones we have with food. I am writing with the hope that I can reach people who can relate to me, and who have also come to understand (like I have) that none of these difficult relationships are “black-and-white” or mutually exclusive. I want to reach others who live in the grey areas with all the successes and the failures, triumphs and stumbles, victories and embarrassments. Explore your scars alongside me, grow from them, and bloom into the…
